Yes! Our frozen potstickers are available in all 3 of our restaurants - just look for the snazzy branded freezers. We also cook up our potstickers hot at our Inner Richmond location every Wednesday, served with an unmissable Tiger Sauce.

Our potstickers have been designed to do one thing: be a quick and easy version of a classic food we love, but with simple, high-quality ingredients. If you read the (short!) ingredients list on the back of each package you’ll see that we don’t put any weird chemicals or preservatives in our food. Furthermore, each flavor of potsticker specifically feature a key ingredient we are proud to be using. In our Tofu & Mushroom flavor, that is the organic tofu sourced from our friends at Hodo Bean Co in Oakland, CA. In the Pork & Purple Cabbage flavor we feature a delicious, organic heritage pork from duBreton Pork. You can check out our work with these companies and more here!

While we do not produce our potstickers in a certified gluten free facility, our potstickers are 100% wheat-free, made with a deliciously chewy, bouncy, rice & oat flour wrapper. We use Avena purity protocol certified gluten free oat flour in our potsticker wrappers. Our production facility is also thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after every production run to reduce the risk of cross-contact.

We went through the painstaking process of developing gluten-free dumpling wrappers that held up well and tasted great. It wasn't easy, but we think it was worth it.

Not at this time, but our Tofu & Mushroom potstickers are vegetarian.

Yes, our dipping sauce is 100% gluten free. The combination of gluten free soy sauce and brown rice vinegar is the perfect compliment to those crispy GF potstickers.

Currently, all of our offerings contain egg, soy, and sesame. A full ingredient list for each product can be found on the page for each product here.

Our restaurants serve up Chinese-American fare for dine-in, pick-up and delivery 7 days a week. You can order the old-school way by calling in or order from us directly through our website. Mamahuhu is also available for takeout & delivery via Doordash and Uber Eats. Make sure to select the location nearest you when placing an online order!

We take sourcing very seriously at Mamahuhu. We will always strive to use as many organic ingredients as our operation and the seasons will allow! Each ingredient is carefully considered for provenance, quality, and of course, taste. We love finding opportunities like this to support farmers and farming practices we believe in, and like to call this out on our menu. The majority of the ingredients we use in our restaurants are organic and/or locally sourced. It will always be that way because that is what we value; we’re simply not interested in doing things any differently. 

VEGETARIAN / VEGAN OPTIONS

Our menu is intentionally designed to be vegetable-forward and both vegan and vegetarian-friendly. We love vegetables and believe they play a primary, not supporting, role on a menu. A key part of this is offering substantial and delicious vegetarian and vegan options. For example, every House Special (with the exception of Lazi Chicken) on our menu is available in two expressions - one with meat and one without. Vegetarian options are marked with a carrot on our menu, and vegan options are marked with a circle.

GLUTEN FREE

Many dishes on our menu have small amounts of gluten in them, typically from ingredients such as black rice vinegar, soy sauce or bean paste. Any items with a purely Gluten Free recipe are marked with a “GF” on our menu. Certain gluten-free items, however, may come into contact with gluten during preparation processes. If you have a severe allergy, please let one of our team members know so we can recommend dishes that are safe for you to enjoy.

Key ingredients for each dish are listed on our menu, however we are not able to list every single ingredient that goes into each recipe. As a result, we always suggest calling our restaurants or visiting in person to inquire about specific allergens. Our restaurant team is knowledgeable about all ingredients as well as potential cross-contact, and we are always happy to ensure you have a safe and delicious dining experience with us. 

✨ Special Note: we do not use peanut oil anywhere in our restaurants!

There are three different types of oil we use in our restaurants, each serving a different purpose: 

Frying

In our fryers, we use sustainably farmed organic palm oil (Palm Done Right certified) from Natural Habitats. Organic palm oils are low in polyunsaturated fats, especially omega 3 fats, while being high in monounsaturated fats. This offers the best balance of nutritional benefits and stability at high temperatures. 

Sautéing

We use rice bran oil for sautéing. Rice bran oil has a high smoke point, making it great for use in the wok. It is also considered to be a good source of several vitamins and minerals, and contains mono-unsaturated fat. 

Dressings

We use grapeseed oil for our salad dressings. Grapeseed oil is similar in many ways to olive oil, and provides a neutral base for delicious vinegars and flavorings to shine. Grapeseed oil is also high in vitamin E, which has antioxidant properties. Our dressings also often contain sesame oil for flavor.
